Area Mission Planning

An Area Mission captures a series of overlapping aerial images over a defined survey area for generating orthomosaics, 3D models, and digital surface models.

Workflow

  1. Click Add Route / Mission to open the mission creation wizard.
  2. Select Area Mission, then choose Photogrammetry.
  3. Enter the mission name and optional description.
  4. Select the aircraft that will perform the mission and click Done.
  5. Enable route visibility so the mission displays on the planning map.
  6. Click Unlock to Edit, then use the Polygon tool to draw the survey boundary (minimum three points).
  7. Configure the photogrammetry settings — altitude, image and side overlap, flight direction, camera angle, and ground sampling distance.
  8. Click Save. The mission is stored in the Mission Planner and available for execution.
