Preflight Checklist
The Preflight Checklist is a structured readiness verification that operators complete before initiating a flight or dock deployment. It ensures that the aircraft, environment, and operational conditions meet the required standards.
Overview
The checklist is presented as a series of items grouped by category. Each item must be confirmed (checked) or, if not applicable, explicitly marked as such. The flight or mission cannot be started until the checklist is completed.
Checklist Categories
| Category | Items Covered |
|---|---|
| Aircraft | Battery level, propeller condition, firmware status |
| Dock | Cover operation, network connectivity, power status |
| Environment | Wind speed, visibility, precipitation |
| Airspace | NOTAM review, geofence confirmation |
| Mission | Mission loaded, waypoints reviewed, RTH altitude set |
| Safety | Failsafes configured, E-Stop acknowledged |

Completing the Checklist
- At the start of the mission flow, the Preflight Checklist modal opens automatically.
- Work through each item and tick the checkbox to confirm.
- Items flagged as warnings (yellow) can be acknowledged and overridden with a note.
- Items flagged as blockers (red) must be resolved before the checklist can be completed.
- Click Complete Checklist to proceed to the mission start screen.

Custom Checklist Items
Administrators can add organisation-specific checklist items via the Admin panel. Custom items appear in a dedicated section at the end of the standard checklist.

The Preflight Checklist is logged with the flight record. This provides an auditable record that pre-flight checks were performed, which may be required by your organisation’s safety management system.
