Aircraft Tracking

Aircraft Tracking keeps the selected drone centred on the map view during flight and marks any detected incursion aircraft in the airspace around your operation.

Auto-Follow

When Auto-Follow is enabled, the map camera automatically pans to keep the active drone centred as it moves. This is the default mode during active flights.

Enabling Auto-Follow

  • Click the Auto-Follow icon in the map toolbar (crosshair icon), or
  • Click the drone icon on the map to snap back to it after manual panning.

Auto-Follow disables temporarily when you pan the map manually. It re-engages when you click the drone icon or use the toolbar toggle.

Incursion Markers

When the Drone Defence system detects a nearby aircraft, it is shown on the map as an incursion marker. The marker includes:

  • Aircraft icon oriented toward its bearing
  • Label showing estimated distance
  • Zone ring overlay (warning or critical) indicating proximity threshold

See Drone Defence for alert configuration.

Flight Path Trail

During flight, the drone’s historical path is drawn as a coloured line on the map. The trail fades over time to indicate recency. Trail colour and length are configurable in map settings.
