Multi-Dock Management

When your organisation operates more than one dock station the Multi-Dock panel gives you a single list of all available docks so you can switch between them, fly the map camera to a dock’s location, or request access to a dock that is currently assigned to another user.

Opening the Panel

The Multi-Dock panel is accessible from the sidebar navigation during an active session. It is labelled Org Docks and lists every dock group registered to your organisation.

Color Legend

At the top of the panel a small legend explains the two colour states used for dock markers:

Colour Meaning
Green Your access — you are already assigned to this device group
Amber Request access — this dock is assigned to another user

The same colour is used for the circular swatch next to each dock entry in the list and for that dock’s pin on the map.

Reading the Dock List

Each dock entry shows:

  • Color swatch — the unique colour assigned to this dock group
  • Device group name — the name given to the group in your organisation settings
  • Coordinates — the dock’s latitude and longitude displayed to 5 decimal places
  • Owner (amber docks only) — the display name of the user currently assigned to this dock

Flying the Map to a Dock

Click anywhere on a dock entry’s name or coordinates row, or click the location pin icon button, to move the map camera to that dock’s position. The map zooms and recentres on the dock. This does not switch your active device group — it only moves the map view.

Showing and Hiding a Dock on the Map

Each dock entry has an eye icon button. Click it to toggle that dock’s marker on or off on the map. When a dock is hidden its entry appears dimmed in the list.

Switching Your Active Dock

If you are already assigned to a dock group you will see a Switch button (coloured with the dock’s colour) on its list entry. Clicking Switch makes that dock your active device group — telemetry, controls, and the map focus all change to the newly selected dock and its associated aircraft.

Taking Over a Dock (Requesting Access)

If a dock is assigned to another user you will see a Take Over button instead of Switch. Clicking it sends a takeover request.

  • While the takeover is in progress the button label changes to Taking over… and a spinner appears.
  • Only one takeover can run at a time. If a takeover is already in progress for any other dock, the Take Over buttons for all other docks are disabled until the in-progress one completes.
  • The button tooltip shows the name of the current owner so you can coordinate with your team before requesting access.

Unconfigured Groups

At the bottom of the list, below a divider, you may see an Unconfigured section listing device groups that do not yet have dock coordinates set. These entries are read-only — no fly-to, switch, or takeover actions are available until the group’s dock location is configured by an administrator.

Empty State

If your organisation has no other dock groups to display (or all docks are on the same group as you), the panel shows: No other organization docks to display.
