General Settings
The General tab provides access to the Simulator, which lets you fly a virtual aircraft for training and scenario testing without any physical hardware connected.

Simulator Mode
The Simulator spawns a virtual aircraft at a configured location and allows full flight control through the dashboard interface.
Simulator Location
The current simulator start location is shown as a latitude/longitude pair. To change it:
- Click the pencil icon beside the location.
- Enter new Latitude and Longitude values, or click Set on map to close Settings and click a point on the map.
- Click Save.
The simulator location is shared with the Anchor Points tab — changes made here are reflected there and vice versa.
Starting and Stopping the Simulator
- Click Start Simulator to launch the virtual aircraft at the configured location. The button changes to Stop Simulator while the simulator is active.
- Click Stop Simulator to end the session. The virtual aircraft is removed from the map.
Simulator mode requires no physical device to be connected. It is available at any time and is a safe way to verify mission plans and test dashboard workflows.
Simulator actions (take-off, landing, waypoint flight) do not affect real hardware, but they do consume the same MQTT command pipeline as live operations. Do not run Simulator mode while a real aircraft is connected and in use.
