Safe Locations
Safe Locations are pre-configured GPS coordinates that the aircraft targets when a failsafe routine requires a controlled landing away from the default home point.
Overview
Each dock or device can be assigned:
- Primary Safe Location — The first-priority landing point used in failsafe routines
- Alternate Safe Locations — One or more fallback coordinates used if the primary is unavailable or blocked
Primary Safe Location
The primary safe location is typically set to a clear, accessible area near the dock or launch point. It is used by Return to Home routines and signal-loss failsafes when the home point is not suitable.

Alternate Safe Locations
Up to [N] alternate safe locations can be configured per device. The aircraft selects the most appropriate alternate based on current position and battery level.

Configuring Safe Locations
Safe location coordinates are managed in Settings > Failsafes and also in the dock settings panel. To set a location:
- Open Settings > Failsafes > Safe Locations
- Click Set Primary or Add Alternate
- Enter coordinates or click the map to pin the location
- Confirm and save
Always verify safe locations on the live map before a mission. Confirm the landing area is clear and accessible.
