Zoom Camera
The Zoom Camera panel provides optical and digital zoom controls when a zoom-capable camera payload is connected, such as the wide+zoom dual-sensor on the Matrice 30 or Matrice 3D series.
Overview
Zoom controls are surfaced in the camera control section of the Fly Dashboard. The dashboard distinguishes between optical zoom (physical lens movement) and digital zoom (software crop and upscale).
This panel activates when a zoom-capable sensor is selected as the active camera feed.
Optical Zoom
Optical zoom uses physical lens adjustment to magnify the image without degrading quality. The zoom level is displayed as a multiplier (e.g., 2×, 7×, 23×) depending on the payload’s zoom range.
| Control | Description |
|---|---|
| Zoom In | Increase optical zoom level |
| Zoom Out | Decrease optical zoom level |
| Zoom slider | Set zoom level directly |
| Zoom level display | Current zoom multiplier |

Digital Zoom
Digital zoom extends beyond the optical maximum using software interpolation. Image quality degrades at high digital zoom levels. The dashboard indicates when digital zoom is active.

Zoom Presets
Save frequently used zoom levels as presets for quick recall during operations:
- Set the desired zoom level.
- Click Save Preset.
- Name the preset.
- Recall via the preset buttons during flight.
